Carbon Fiber Formula Student Driveshaft
Bartoška, Vojtěch ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The work contains summary of possible design solutions of the drive shafts for Formula Student vehicle. Choice of the composite shaft design and its design, including proposal of tripod and bonded joint. Design verification by static and dynamic testing. Comparison of composite drive shafts with steel drive shafts.
Bonding of composite materials in precise applications
Schubert, Vojtěch ; Zouhar, Jan (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
This work is focused on the bonding of composite materials. Related research dealing with technology of production and bonding of these materials was additionally conducted. Practical part of this thesis was set to find out what the optimal bond line thickness was for the bonding of the composites. Thus, the strength of single-lap joints (SLJ) in series of various bond line thicknesses was therein tested. A model of samples (and design of their production by wet lay-up) for the experiment is also provided in this thesis.
Bonding in the automotive industry
Krejčí, Adam ; Hanáčková, Pavla (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis presents a literature study of adhesive bonding technology. The work deals with the advantages and disadvantages of adhesive bonding, design of adhesive joints, technological processes of adhesive bonding and the division of adhesives. The thesis also discusses various materials used for the construction of car bodywork and their properties. The main focus of the work is on the use of adhesive bonding in the car industry, comparing traditional and modern technology used for the construction of bus bodywork. In the experimental part of the thesis, the aim is to reveal the influence of surface treatment on the resulting shear strength when employing metal to metal bonding.
Effect of surface on bonded joint
Trhoň, Vojtěch ; Halamík, Tomáš (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part are these topics: bonding theory, treatment of bonding surface, types of adhesives, adhesives in the transportation industry and construction and stress of bonded joints. In the second part of this thesis is experimental evaluation of the effect of surface of material on strength of bonded joint.
Bonding of thin metal sheets
Poul, David ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on theory and methods of adhesive bonding. Experimental part is focused on two topics: determining dependences of bonded joint shear tension on a cure time and determining dependences of bonded joint shear tension on a size of contact area. Loctite SI 5399 RD acetoxy silicone one component glue was used for these experiments. At determining dependences of bonded joint shear tension on a size of contact area tension is raising, but the grow wasn’t directly proportional on the grow of size of contact area. Determining dependences of bonded join shear tension on a cure time it was proved, that tension is raising first 24 hours very quickly. After this period is process slowing down and tension is increasing to its maximum. After 18 hours bond tension is solid enough to be handling, but 24 hours of curing time is more secured.
Analysis of adhesives in general engineering
Trhoň, Vojtěch ; Kovář, Petr (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with analysis of adhesives in general engineering and it is focusing on the partition of adhesives according to curring and usability. Positive and negative mechanical stress of glued joints are characterised here. The technologic process of gluding side panels of tram is elaborated in the end of this bachelor thesis.
Durability of glued joints of structural timber elements
Mlčák, Tomáš ; Vejpustek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topics of durability of glued connections of structural wooden elements. The theoretical part of the work deals with the construction of wood, selected defects of wood, a description of carpentry joints and fasteners. The work also pays attention to adhesives and sealants used in glued joints of wooden structures or the issue of crack repair systems in wood. The practical part of the work is focused on experimental verification of the durability of used adhesives and sealants for glued carpentry elements.
Study of durability of wood glue bonds against increased temperature
Kučera, Vít ; Vejpustek,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
In this time are for design of wooden elements available simplified procedures for fire modeling which defines ČSN EN 1991-1-2. But it is not experimentally tested the impact of adhesive on the final value of fire resistance of laminated panels. This diploma thesis solves basic normative practices that could explain the durability of glue bond against increased temperatures. in the practical part will be undertaken to experimentally assess the impact of various kinds of adhesive-based (epoxy, formaldehyde, PUR and EPI) on the glued bond durability against increased temperature. Glued joints that will be subjected to gradual temperature exposure in order to assemble the dependence of the temperature influence on the final strength of the joint according to the type of adhesive.
Composite Bicycle Frame Design
Bartoška, Vojtěch ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This work aims to the design of a carbon fiber bicycle frame with production technology suitable for piece production. The work summarizes the methods of production of composite frames and important parameters that must be respected when designing the frame. A Gravel frame was chosen for the design. The frame was designed for production using stainless steel printed lugs with glued composite tubes. The proposed solution was strength tested. The work also contains a design of a production jig for the construction of bicycle frames.
Precise bonding of composite materials
Tellinger, Adam ; Gregor, Lukáš (referee) ; Kupčák, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of bonding composite materials. The first part of the bachelor's thesis is focused on research into the production of composite materials and gluing technologies. The content of the practical part is the design of test specimens and a preparation for their bonding with subsequent production. Furthermore, verification of compliance with the required accuracy of bonded joints when using different adhesives using 3D measurements.
